hi new to these forums so bare with me if this is a stupid question

i got a alienware m9750 laptop last year and i love it however im seriously regretting not getting 2 gpu's for SLI when i bought it. i have tried to contact alienware to discuss wether or not i can buy the extra card and have it upgraded, either by themselves or do it myself at home, fairly good with building pc's. however after 3 months and 10 emails and several phone calls iv heard nothing back from them.

i currently have a geforce 8700m gt installed but dont mind buying 2 new cards if needed

any suggestions on how to get hold of alienware to dicuss this or where i can get hold of the components

    thanks

hm...it seems you should just be able to call AW and order up what you need...
You have to make sure you get the right card as well as the sli bridge, I think they cost around $450...
    cheers

call roswell support directly and talk to them. I also believe that the 3870s may work in the 9750 but youll have to do some searching on that.

I emailed them a couple times about getting 3870's for my m9750, jerks wouldn't even respond...I think "Officially" their position is the cards are not supported by the m9750 - but iChime has proven different...
I'm thinking I might stick the 3870's into my m9750 after the 4870's are available...

if anyone can confirm a m9750 owner is able to purchase 3870's from Alienware, PM me!!

so far i've only tried to get in contact with companies that are selling OCZ whitebooks, but so far no luck. i was assuming Alienware would be "kind" to tell me to buzz off trying to buy 3870's from them because "the cards are not supported for the notebook".

Im sure once you people start upgrading to 4870s they will be available for much cheaper(in the NBR marketplace) then going to Alienware so you may just want to wait a month or so .
