Hello, I am having problems loading some old 32bit software on my new M15x. It says it is not compatable and will not load with the autorun due to it not being 64bit. I am thinking about trying the XP mode so I will need to upgrade to the windows 7 ultimate from my 7 home edition. Will I lose any of the alienware functions in its command center if I upgrade windows?

if you do a clean install, which i recommend then you will have to download all the drivers again. here is a link to all the downloads.

install chipset first and then everything else, with osd and command center last.

also save all the alienware wallpapers and icons ahead of times, then put them back in when your done.

i using xp mode too, and i love it.

What about just doing the upgrade through microsoft website? Will that lose any of the alienware functions? I would like to keep from doing a fresh install if possible.

No you wont lose anything, even if you mess up you can still get everything back, so dont worry.
