Ok guys so i recently upgraded my bios (have not upgraded since i received it back in February) and i am noticing much faster boot times and loading times. One other questions i have that i know was answered along time ago is how do i go in and fix the keyboard settings so that it doesnt skip a key if i hit it rapidly multiple times in a row. Thanks guys

for that you have to uninstall the synaptics touchpad driver, which is apparently responsible for the lagging keyboard. however, you'll lose some touchpad functions, notably, it won't turn off anymore if you have an external mouse plugged in.

strange... there's a little checkbox in my options that allows me to enable the feature...

did he look for that? maybe it's just un-checked?

it's possible that the glitch just disables the Fn+F12 (t-pad button) while a mouse is connected... but what do I know?

    there are 2 touchpad drivers:
    1) the official driver from synaptics (WHQL)
    +no problems with keyboard response
    -you can't turn it off
    2) the modified alienware driver (no WHQL)
+Fn-F12 turns it off and on
-some users report problems with keyboard

I'm using the modded ones from AW and there are no keyboard response issues or touchpad issues. There's an option in the Synaptics application that allows the touchpad to auto turn off when an external mouse is plugged into the laptop.
