    I call alienware this morning to ask about replacing my screen for the hi resolution and the agent was nice all time until he ask if I want the blue ray too I say yes why not couple hundred more is ok but after he code the upgrade he say you better get a new system, why? because this is going to cost 1500 :eek: ​
    I ask him to get the parts only and he say no they dont sell the parts were I can get the screen any other system like xps has the same screen?

    Sleey0 is right, after market upgrades and parts are often more expensive than ordering the system with those upgrades....

    while very hard to tell from the pics that does look to be the right screen it seem the look like the right one but there are many versions of this screen you need to ask the seller if its a dual ccfl or not..

    yes it is the correct model but that same model has 4 different "versions" of it. there are both dual lamp and single lamp ones you need a dual lamp.

    lnk to the cheaper one if there are any pics of it??

    like lg hase the lp171wu1 there are maybe a dozen different ones. you have the tl-a1, tl-a2, tl-a3 etc, the a4-k4 etc
