    i just need some good benchmarking softare for both the GPU and CPU

    There are tons of apps for benchmarking. Among the popular ones for graphics (and CPU) are the 3DMark apps (3DMark 06, 3DMark Vantage, 3DMark 11). For more CPU intense benchmarking, there's Cinebench, Super PI, et al. For overall system benchmarking, PCMark is a popular one.

    For starters you can just use 3DMark06, it will test both GPU and CPU and display individual results for both.
