how do you turn off wake up on usb for M17?

Other laptop's bios has that option, this one does not, i think.

check the power tab of the device's properties under windows device manager.... there should be a checkbox for "this device wakes up the PC"...

Should be able to manage it from there.

    the tittle is wrong, btw.

I meant wake up on USB, like mouse.

For example, you close the lid to make it to sleep, and THEN unplug right you put it in the bag, then it turns on again. Happened in my previous m1710 once, and the notebook was HOT when I got home. Just didn't want to have it happen again in my m17, but there is no option in bios for this.

The Power management in Device Manager for the USB port has "Allow this device to wake the computer." is gray out.
Device Manager for the Mouse doesn't have that option.

    did you check the controller?

Might be helpful to "sort by connection" in this case.

The controller doesn't have it, the human interface devices doesn't have it, but the input device has it.

That's the mouse wake up, not USB though. What I want is unplug doesn't wake the computer up. I do want the mouse to wake it up by movement or click.

Ok, I just tested, it works, the mouse disconnect doesn't wake up the system, but another mouse would require the change too, or any new mouse.

I also would like to have my mouse to wake it up, just not by unplug. It worked before in my m1710 which option in bios.
