    what is wrong with my m17x?

    everything is not working all of a sudden!!!
    i want sli, boost performance on, but screen goes out blank (not black) if i activate discrete graphics. restarting system isnt helping!
    i try 2 go to bios to disable hybrid and integrated, but once logged in screen goes blank again. im using 186.82 drivers in vista.

    argh.

    and now my keyboard is lagging so much i have 2 use on-screen keybord 2 type this. whats going on?

    i just did a complete respawn factory install too!

    im so mad! !

    you need to fix your GPU drivers

    boot to safe mode uninstall GPU drivers

    boot back to windows let the generi drivers install



    then install the correct ones

    I am also having an issue with my right side GTX280 fan.
    It makes this weird noise when i push my power button on startup.

    its almost like there is something in the way of it. - like someone putting a piece of cardboard on a bicycle wheel/spokes while it's spinning.

    it sometimes makes that same weird noise every two seconds while i utilize my 9400M.

    what can be the problem?

    1) What does an sli cable look like? Do you think This is the problem?
    2) I've heard about re-seating certain things in the system... what is it?

    bushing/bearing may be bad. Only way to identify the problem is to perform surgery however.
