hey folks, bit of a newbie question maybe, but im looking to get a bigger hard drive for my m15x, and i dont know how big it is, in terms of actual size, not storage. looking on dabs, theres 4 different variations, 2.5 x 1/8h , 2.5, 2.5 x 1/6h , and 2.5 sff ? no inea what the difference is or what one i need.
many thanks for any help

sff means small form factor. in any case, i think this stuff is pretty much standardized. play it safe and go to newegg.com, and buy something from the "laptop hard drives" section, then you can ship it back if it doesn't fit
-
but i will add, if by chance there are a cpl different sizes....by one of each and then send back the one(s) that does/do not fit. this way you have the one you want in hand without the wait of return and purchase again... -
9.5mm x 2.5" I think is what just about all laptops use.

thanks guys, think ill just order the 2.5" one for a start when i do it. ordering one of each is a good idea, except i havent really got enough money to do that option lol. and i cant use newegg as it says it only american delivery and im in the uk so thats not an option either. i think i remember someone telling me if i got a new hdd, i can buy an empty smart bay shell from AW and install it in there?

EDIT: hooray for censoring -
Not sure if this will help you. http://newegg.uk.com/

that newegg.uk.com link is nothing to do with newegg im afraid, just some sort of travel and insurance site. dabs.com is a fairly decent and cheapish site for us in the uk, and there are plenty of others so ill be alright, it was just getting the right size is all.
