    I just came off phone from dell sales and they will not budge from asking a further 100 pounds added to price for a bluray reader to be included :mad: , i thought this was an option up untill last month ? or was it b4 that.

    Not sure in the UK, as far as I know its always been an option in the US. The base model included a standard dvd writer only. No BluRay.

    When I got mine back in November, I had to pay approx $250 for the blu-ray reader/writer. I would think it would have always been an "extra". On a positive note, at least they are offering it again...there was a time period where people couldn't even get it added.

    blueray aways cost more when it was available, standard one was dvd-rw.
