    hi,

Except me, who's planning to buy a m15x with nvidia quadro FX3600M or better, does anyone have already this configuration ?

As i say there i'm worry about heat issue in long work of 3D task encoding/rendering.

I don't want a 17', and the m15x is the ONE 15" notebook which can have X9000 CPU and Quadro video card.

So help and advice shall be the welcome for thanks

Id go for one of the new dell precisions :) they look rather cool (and come out soon). They have the x9100's (i think) and different quadros to choose from...

DELL doesn't offer (at this time) any 15inches with Quadra FX3600 card, even no 15 inches with high CPU montevina (X9100, T9600, Quad), no in 15 inches series.

The X9000 downclocks when it is put under heavy stress (search around the threads and you will see that all of the X9000 users downclock and you cannot overclock it either so it is a waste of money. Go with the 2.6.

    >.> except it's fixed because they undervolted the cpu. Still not sure what the point is of selling a x9000 and locking the bios when its sold at a premium price because its overclockable.

Considering that the m15x and Alienware in general is primarily for gaming, where as the FX series is kind of a work/engineer (CAD) performance card, there may not be too many. If you're considering you might want to consider that. Both strong cards (8800M GTX - FX3600), just have different focuses.
