Know the feeling, I have pretty poor luck myself, should see my record, its just as 'good' as yours if not better.

if i where you i'd test the electricity of the house if it's not that that is causing you bad luck lol
-
I have to agree with granyte. If the place is not grounded and such you could have issues.
-
no its defo not that, the machine game with fault parts on my 1st laptop, and then the 2nd card starting showing lines up on screen. ive got all sorts and most of the new gadgets round my house, never an issue just alienware=/
-
same with me on my m15x which is why Dell is upgrading me to an M17xR2... I have to pay the difference though...
-
well a power srge can cause all the issue you talked about and don't forget computer are more sencitive to these kind of variation then most othe gadget you can get and they have lots of regulator and compensator that willl try to compensate abnd can get damaged in the process

Seriously, as others suggested this could very well be an electricity problem. Get a good surge protector. -
I used to have this happen at my last house mainly desktop PSU's invested in a UPS and now for my laptop a 5 socket surge protector for about £25 to keep my M17 R2 in sexy condition

While I'm a fan of Alienware laptops if you're looking at a Desktop, I personally think there are better deals to be had for Desktop systems elsewhere - especially if you use the multitude of guides on the web to build your own.
Given your past experiences if I was in your position I'd go down the self build path and get the most bang for my buck.
why am i so unluck with alienware products?
