    hey guys,
    ok so i have just installed cod: world at war.
    when i start it and the small screen comes up askin me to play solo or multiplayer the sound is fine i can hear the music but after i click into multiplayer or solo to the main menu i cant hear anything(and nothing while playin in game either).
    i tried switching the default device for sound but still nothing.
    any help anyone??

    Have you tried Audio options in COD?

    select the 16 bit, 48000hz in the speaker properties it should work.
