    Hey guys,

currently i have just a basic WAP setup (dlink dwl-2100) only supports up to wireless g and has sh!t for range. With the M17x on its way i do plan on doing a lof of gaming with it and just wondering what a good wireless router would be for it. gb would be helpful but not needed.

The D-Link extreme is known to be a great router for high demand gaming needs.. I don't have it but I've only heard awesome things about it. Specifically the D-Link Xtreme N Gaming Router (DGL-4500)

If you're going to do a lot of 'wireless' gaming, Id recommend taking a look at homeplugs. They work much better in the majority of cases; and tend to be a lot cheaper than a new router :)

Otherwise look at wireless N, wireless is still not amazing for gaming due to packet loss, and also issues with intermittant signal drops (not to mention caused by zero config sometimes). Homeplug is the better solution where you can use it though; works 95% of the time, and gives a very similar service to real ethernet.

Is there a wireless N router that I can limit bandwidth to certain IPs?
Been looking at linksys/belkin, but both fail to state if they support such a feature or not

..damn sisters, I really need to move out xD
