Thanks.

if all your going to do is email word prossesor and web surfing, it should be fine. the battery life on those are amazing, but it all depends what you need it for.
-
700 sounds like a fair deal.
Where did you find this? Have you checked Apples refurbished site? eBay? Macmall?
Like raider said it should be fine what he said above, and should support the new Leopard when it comes out since there is word going around that the new leopard install dvd has both PowerPC and Intel Architechture installation stuff. -
A local store is dumping it.
Yeah it's for word processing, email, Web surfing, chat, etc.
No gaming. -
yeh that should work fine for what you need, $700 is a pretty good deal

sounds like a good deal -
I sold my powerbook G4 1GHZ titanium for 500. I would say no
-
Depends what it was used for IMO, dont buy it, get a cheaper brand new pc notebook, if your dead set on mac maybe its a good bargin yes.
-
It has a faster processor than your powerbook G4, and since it does its probably on par or exceeds your powerbook in specs. Personally I would expect that ibook to go for about 600
