Okay, so I made this iShowU movie. It's quite long, and it's quite big, despite the 50% size, I used the Apple Animation codec.

    It's almost one gig...

Is there like an encoding software I can use to make my file even smaller?
(Something like the divX corespondent for OS X)

And of course by that I mean, open the .mov file, click this, click that, and encode. Wait a while and it's done. Is there such software?

    Cheers! :D

try isquint. I use it to compress large files. It also converts them to .mp4(don't know if that's a plus or minus for you. It's a minus for me). Regardless it shrinks files consistently and quickly.

Quicktime has a native compression codec called H264. This is currently the industry standard for compressing hq video for the web. Apple uses it to compress the movie trailers on their site. We use it for almost everything at our studio.
You can export using H264 compression from Quicktime Pro, Sorenson Squeeze, After Effects... to name a few. I'm not sure if there is any freeware applications out there that offer this compression setting.

I use "MoviesForMyPod", a free app to convert some movies. I have a few Quicktime files (iPod Touch Guided Tour, OS X Leopard Guided Tour, etc :p) and I convert them to H.264 MP4 files.

Don't forget FFMPEGX. I don't if it works in Leopard though.
