    Guys,i have a strange problem!my software updater updates everything with no problem except for 1 update-"10.5.4" :mad:

    it gives me this error-"You do not have appropriate access privileges." WTF?

    Assuming you are logged in as the administrator, you might want to try repairing your disk permissions. Launch Disk Utility, click on your Macintosh HD, and click on the Repair Disk Permissions button under the First Aid tab.

    In your System Prefs>Accounts, do you have Allow this user to admin this computer checked?

    I get permissions popups for software update from time to time. I authenticate and move on. It's not as bad as 247 are you sure's on a windows box every day, but I agree with you it's ugly and something us Mac users shouldn't have to look at. Perhaps you can contact Apple about it.

    13 restarts. I can't wait to tell one of my customers to try that. I hope my call isn't being recorded for review on that one.(Indian accent) 'Restart 13 times, lick your pet hamster, hop naked in the street for 10 minutes then surprise your partner by belting them with a buttered-up rubber chicken when they get home from work. Your Apple will now update and smell like flower of deli river, thank you call again'.
