... for photo editing and post processing?

Glossy screens offer better contrast and saturation but give colours increased vibrance. I don't know whether making sure the colours are as close to the originals is important for photo editing though.
-
You would appreciate the extra real estate, for photo editing.
-
What are you going to use your Mac for? Image/photo/graphix editing? Then to matte. Otherwise, go glossy.
I love glossy, so this is a very biased view. You've been warned. -
13" doesn't come in matte.
-
Yeah, just a note, the MacBook (13.3-inch screen) only comes in glossy. The MBP has the option between glossy and matte.
I think you're better off with a matte screen. Glossy displays make colours look more vibrant, so in another way, you could say that the colour you're seeing on your screen is not going to be exactly the same as if you printed it out. -
I would go with 15" in your case. As others have said, the color of a glossy screen is not the most accurate.
-
I'm gonna go with... 15" glossy. The colours will just pop out at you...
If you work a lot outdoors (or in brightly lit rooms with lots of Windows), go matte. -
We all live in iHouses, there's no Windows!
-
why does this keep popping up? like has been mentioned many times, it is all about personal preference, even for printing purposes.
A glossy screen can be calibrated just like a Matte screen can. and both will not exactly be accurate for printing unless calibrated correctly -
I had the same dilema as you. I picked the 15" matte and can say that I'm 100% happy with it. It calibrated great with my Spyder2Express and the bigger size is definitely appreciated.

If you ask me, I think a 15.4-inch matte is best for you
.
13" or 15", glossy or matte screen ...
