    16:9 dvd playback on Macbook

    Can anyone tell me how I can get my Macbook to display anamorphically-enhanced 16:9 dvd's at full resolution without doing a 4:3 letterbox (which puts mattes on all sides)? Also, my dvd playback stutters every now and then, which I assume is not normal. What am I not doing?

    Hmm, mine actually works fine. For the DVD its not scratched is it?

    I would try doing a permissions repair and see if that would help.
