It was bought in Sept 2007 and it seems to be in good condition. It is a local guy and I can buy it in person.

I think it's a decent deal...maybe I can turn it around for a little more and make a profit?

Or I can use it to replace my current 2.16ghz model that I ....uh, dropped.

Do you have the full spec list? Was it bought new or refurb. The price depends upon the goodies he has in it.

Well for $1,450 (US) you can get a refurb from Apple with the full 1 year warranty. So that being said if it's in good shape I would probably try and talk him down to $1,100 ;)

    Though $1,200 isn't a bad deal.

The same refurbished model from Apple's Canadian store costs $100 CDN more.

They won't sell it to you at the US price if you're in Canada.

$1200 CDN isn't a bad deal for the 2.2GHz. If you wanted to, you could probably resell it for another $100-200, but I'd just keep it to replace your broken one.

It was bought new. He has everything that came with it, box, cds, etc etc.

    I think I'll take it...and keep it.

That's an awesome deal. I would closely inspect it before buying just because I'm picky. Look for screen defects (dead/stuck pixels or scratches on the screen), noise issues, dents, keys, optical drive...etc
