    Hello All,

    I am in the market for The 2012 Apple MacBook Air 13.3" and knowing that even these newer version still comes in assortment of either a Samsung or a Toshiba SSD and the facts remains that The Samsung SSD peform better in write speed and wanting to get it, will the 256 GB version be Samsung?

    Please let me know.

    they usually are, but sandisk with the controller from marvell that the crucial m4 uses are also a possibility.

    If you came here a few months ago, we would pretty unequivocally say that the 256 GB drive was Samsung but with the recent change to SanDisk. Now there's no way to say for certain unless you have the machine in your hands.
