Normally, I would not make a thread in the Apple forum to use up a milestone post, but its 5000, a special one, so it gets its own thread!![]()
So I've made it to 5000 posts! And I would say at least 80% of those posts are in this forum. And how quick its been; I celebrated 1000 posts just in June 2007. Thanks to everyone here, I learn a lot from you guys as well.![]()

LOL operating 24/7! When do you go to sleep?
-
Congrats! I've been here longer than you and you beat me to it...
-
You need to start posting more sam, I only joined in November, and even I beat you to it
.
-
Whoohooo congrats!
-
WOOT WOOT, GO CANADA!
But BOO to the Canucks. -
Congrats Sam, you've been posting longer than I have been living.
-
How in the hell did you post so much since june??? wow! congrats man.
-
10,000 in Jan 2008? Congrats, Sam. You are always here, when we need you.
-
Grats that's some mad fast postage!
-
Sam, Have you ever counted monthly hours spent on this forum?
-
You do a good job!
-
Spamwhores...
-
Its rather crazy...I would like to know myself...4000 posts in 5 months is a bit crazy
.
At this rate, I move approximately 10'000 posts a year...but who knows, maybe I"ll slow down now
.
Thanks guys!
-
I think it's all the posts reffering people to the MacSwitchers Guide
.
Congrats! -
TRT! probably
-
Wow, I've been here for a while...and I don't even have 1000 posts!
Congrats! -
No he lives here
Congrates Sam way to go
Lynn -
That doesn't even count towards his post count. If you include only the TRT posts (not even all of off topic), Sam has well over 9000 posts.
-
I had no idea. I guess Sam is pretty ubiquitous.
-

woot maybe u can catch up to chaz.
wait, on second thought, naaahhh -
TRT doesn't count towards post count, as its in the Off Topic section. If it did, I would have 9500 posts right now
.
-
No bragging now!
-
Yessir, Sam from Vancouver using a white MacBook!
By the way, if anyone wants to catch me acting silly, that usually happens in The Random Thread
. You guys should visit there more!

Congratulations Sam!
-
I think everyone should chip in and buy Sam a copy of Leopard (legendary student price of course
) for all the work he has contributed to NBR. Let's start with Cashmonee making the first contribution.
-
Next week is What I'm betting on
.
Well congrats Sam I'm saving the picture for your 10,000 post
.
-
LOL! But I don't even have Leopard!
-
OMG, I would expect the moderators to be drinking the Leopard kool-aid by now since you guys are technically our mentors.
-
stealthsniper96 What Was I Thinkin'?
nbr should have a moderator service where they pay for the mods/admins to get the latests versoin of w/e company os they use.
-
Sorry, moderators don't get paid and I'm still broke
.
-
It doesn't matter, really, since theres only two truly significant things about Leopard:
1. The box is really cool looking, and shiiiiiiiiiny....
2. My wallet is $69 lighter.
Congrats on the 5k posts, Sammy! -
You forgot:
3) If you don't get it you can't use Bootcamp
.
-
Yes, that would be why I bought it. At least I didn't have to pay the full $130 - then I would have been really really ticked off. Its really a pity that they didn't make Boot Camp a $30 stand alone program available for Tiger...that would have made things a lot easier.
-
stealthsniper96 What Was I Thinkin'?
hate to say it, but you can still set up bootcamp on tiger.
-
Yeah, for the Apple hardware using, Windows only pimpin' nerds.
For the rest of the true Mac users Bootcamp doesn't matter. -
Well, see, my way is better, since I get to match Apple's superb hardware to a truly great operating system.
-
stealthsniper96 What Was I Thinkin'?
o, so you must run linux?
-
Not on my real computers. On my crappier ones I have LM3.1 (essentially a variant of Ubuntu), but thats only because they are really old, not any other reason.
-
How did I miss this? I've been busy, I guess. Better late than never I hope. Congrats Sam!!!
Also, everyone should know that Sam's B-Day is quickly approaching!!!! Check his profile. Or just look at his signature for a hint.
-
What? My birthday? Oh, it just happens to be in two days, on December 5th
.
-
Well, happy B-Day Sam. Hold old R U going to be on the 5th?
-
thnksfrthmmrs Notebook Evangelist
lol I don't think he wants to reveal it. It's not in his profile. He must be in high school, because that's when he "won" his MB, but he could now be in college. -
Yes, I shall keep that a secret
. But I'm in high school still, so I'm somewhere between 13-18
.
-
Wow, Sam I have to pay you a huge complement. You seem a lot older in a mature way because you handle the rudest posters on this forum in a very calm and unbiased way. It's all good, it doesn't matter how old you are, this forum looks up to you and many of us including myself have bought new Macs based on your good help. I still say Cashmonee should buy you Leopard but don't tell him I said that so shhhhh.
-
Haha, thanks hldan! Yes, I do act a lot older online than I actually am. And I find (other than in one occasion a few months back, where I really had to flame) usually, handling "arguments" by feeding back the right contrasts and corrections manages to douse the flames quite well
. Except for that one time. I think you might remember
.
