Download "Macfan" (check sig for 9400m oc) and open command prompt, drag macfan into command prompt and type "[space]6200[space]6200"
This will rev the fan to maxspeed and hopefully deal with temps better
Now download throttlestop, follow the guide in the throttlestop folder and disable EIST -
Will do so tomorrow after work ..
.this fan control is this for the CPU???? Cause my gpu temp was 75c which I be live ain't that high -

If you intend to play games with any sort of frequency, a MacBook Pro is not for you. You really should have kept your Alienware. -
The 6200 and 6200 is to command both the right and left fan, so yes
Also, try to update the driver.
+1, get a M14x R2 by selling your macbook -
I think that is BS about not gaming on a MBP!
I have an early 2011 MBP15 hires. It has 8gb ram and 256gb SSD. I run all my games in bootcamp at 800/1000 with ATI CCC 12.4 and game on it loads.
I run my fans at 5200 in windows which seems to be a great mix of cooling but not too loud.
I play a lot of BF3, SC2, DOW2 and WEE with no problems.
I used to game a lot on an m14x before I bought this and the fan noise was crazy so I had to sell it. -
No offense ....I had a m14x...I don't seee why the MBP would be any less than a m14x r1 ...won't compare with the r2 cause that just came out ...and why does every question have to be replied with get a "alien ware" I had one ...and I switched to a Mac ...anyways let's not start a debate
...but hey thanks for your prompt response and the advice ..will work on it tonight
@ninja do you use throttle stop too ?? -

Because the various threads you've created here make it pretty clear that a Mac was not the best notebook for your intended usage. You've dropped a good chunk of change for a system that it appears you're not 100% satisfied with. -
and for gaming your old 14x WAS about 10-15% faster in gaming and had extra room to OC the GPU. for a gamer you actually went backwards IMO unless you absolutly needed OSX
-
No, but I often turn turbo boost off when gaming to keep the heat down (also did the same on m14x). I just use w7 advanced power options.
-
none of the threads....that i dropped in here...mentioned i dint like the MBP ...no clue how you got to that assumption ....i am just trying to figure my way back in gaming ....and i wanna get rid of my console ....so i am exploring options for gaming ....but anyways ..i appreciate all input i can get ....not gonna be starting a debate here.....plus if i was really unhappy.....you would see this in the marketplace section......i just think i am not using my MBP to its full potential cuase i see youtube vids with people playing bf3 and black ops and i am not getting the same results...so made me wonder if it was the 512mb of ram....or is it actually my cpu thats throtteling....
-
yes i did ..it was aboely necessary....for me to get a OSX ...my work demanded it .....and i love it for that ....and i am not a gamer who wants all settings on ultra ..i can do with mid-high...but decent fps is all i need.i play super selective games....and not even that often..but it would be good to have that capability (maybe i ma not using my MBP to its full potential) ....2.maybe i was wondering of getting a eGPU or a clevo w110er (instead of my ps3...but i just falling a bit short on the funds)
And finally.....i was supper annoyed by the battery life on my m14x.......wasnt working for me...and the fan noise . But overall that was a great machine too.
6750m dissapointing results
