How much free memory has the 8GB version? I suspect the OS is using already a few MBs.

I certainly am loving it. The UI is really awesome, and the touchscreen is much better than some other touchscreen players I've tried (the new Samsung one being one I've tried)...its responsive when it needs to be, and is good at ignoring accidental strokes.

I came from a 2 GB iPod Nano, and at first I was a little worried it might be a bit too big. I'm okay and I think its the perfect size now :).

Same thing on an iPhone. 7.3GB. I quite like my iPhone, except it's about time Apple did something with it worthwhile, like give us real applications (yeah yeah soon soon). As usual, having a hacked iPhone is way better than the real thing. I could even copy my SIM contacts to my iPhone with a 3rd-party app! Apple?

Well, even when the SDK is released, most likely Apple will charge for applications bought through the iTunes Store...whereas right now you can get them for free by jailbreaking it.

True that, Sam. It really is better if you have a jailbroken phone/Touch. Way better.

Well, I wouldn't say its better :p, but I can say that Apple certainly isn't helping its case...

There are some applications I now simply could not live without. My dictionary, my converter (converts everything!), my flashlight proram, shortcuts to turn wifi/bt on/off, iSolitaire. The list goes on... :)
