So I purchase a new MacBook for my college life, while keeping the serious notebook at home for gaming. A question comes to mind, Why doesn't Mac have an Intel logo?

Probably to keep its minimalistic, clean looks.

I think Steve may have actually answered this question in one of his interviews, and I think it was because Apple users don't want some sticky peeling label marring the case and that Apple's own logo was much better. (ie. Apple's own Core 2 Duo logo although they dont stick it on due to the first reason).
And this should be moved to the Mac forum. -
Yeah, this is totally not related to Gaming LOL.
Apple chose not to add stickers to its Macs. The Macs are sticker free. Apple doesn't even use the same Intel logos as the rest of the industry, for that matter.
Everyone else uses this:
Apple uses this:

Oh Apple, and it's hip marketing strategy. Getting those rad items out there for those groovy youngsters. I guess everything's peachy when you're making money.
It's a doozy. -
The first thing I do when I get a new notebook is peel off the stickers. They look tacky and retarded. If an OEM wants to pay me for advertising their wares then maybe I'll reconsider. I feel the same way about dealer advertising on cars. Except they do the peeling.

Well, in a sense, by carrying your Mac and using it everywhere you're advertising for Apple
.

Those stickers don't actually give you any idea "what's inside the computer"; they're merely tiny advertisement signs bearing only the name of the brand. I don't know who initiated this "tradition" of ugliness, but Apple's wise not to participate in it.

I agree - do you really want to get a laptop with the entire palmrest full of stickers (see Asus)? The first thing I do is remove them - and that's only assuming they're easily removed (and not the hard metallic kind that's superglued to the chassis).
I'm already carrying a walking advertisement of the laptop brand (Apple), which is annoying enough - thankfully the lit-up logo isn't too ugly - I'd rather not carry around MS and Intel logos and all that other junk too
What's worse is that not all laptop manufacturers update their stickers. You can still get Asus V1S with stickers saying you have a dvi-out for example
Good luck finding it on the laptop though.

stealthsniper96 What Was I Thinkin'?
ooo sam and where might i get one of those stickers. dont worry i wont put it on my macbook but it might make a nice addition to my logo-d out paintball equipment

The only branding on Apple products is Apple, and that is the way it should be. Look at the iPhone, no at&t logo anywhere in sight.

The Apple logo is indeed quite nice. Though my favourite actually is the Commodore logo; it would be nice to have a laptop that bore that sign. -
I'd rather they gave us the option to design our own logo at that place. I'd love to put an infinity or ouroboros symbol there
-
I know our resident alenas has a Vista sticker covering the Apple logo on his MBP
.
And I think we all forgot to mention: the Macs do come with stickers, there's Apple stickers that you find in the box, they're not on the notebook
. I'd rather the other companies do that. Especially ASUS (way too many stickers!).

ebay has some for sale. just search for "intel badge", "nvidia badge", "XP/vista badge", etc.
personally I like the badges and will put one on my mbp.
A curious Mac question.
