im looking for a nice well designed bag for my Macbook Pro Retina , looking for something i will feel safe ( handles wont tear off during use) durable and not too big... not too expensive either , top 30$ since I will need to add shipping to israel.

I know there are tons to chose from on amazon etc, but all the brands I know cost around 70-100$. Figured to ask around here to see what people use/ can recommend.

    Thanks

A good bag for $30? I'm not sure I've seen one for that price.

See Amazon.com: SwissGear Computer Backpack: Computers & Accessories for the bag I use

$30 really isn't a whole lot. Over here in the U.S., that will get you a really cheap backpack or computer bag that isn't worth it since the bag/backpack will fall apart after a few months of solid use. I highly recommend saving up additional funds and buying a bag when you have secured them. Just to give you an idea, I purchased a cheap $40 bag with my Dell notebook back in 2005. The bag fell apart within 4 months and I ended up buying a $100 backpack. 6 years later and I still have the backpack but don't use it anymore as the thing was designed for a 17" notebook (my 13" MBA would move around in there too much). I ended up buying a Hurly backpack that set me back by $80. I purchased the backpack last year (January 2011) and use it on a daily basis. It is still holding up and nothing has torn.

I'm sure there has to be some carrying case that is OK for $30 but I have yet to come across one. Look at it this way: you can either spend $30-$50 a year to buy replacement bags or you can spend $70-$100 now and not have to replace anything for a good 3-4 years (at least).

If you don't need to carry a lot of other stuff, i would go with a messenger bag myself.

I too enjoy messenger bags. I really like my Hurly backpack but I purchased a reasonably priced ($50) messenger bag from the Apple Store where I live and I like it. The bag has a compartment for my 13" MBA, iPad, and even iPhone/iPod while still having just enough space for a couple of technical papers and a book. There are also compartments that house a couple of pens/pencils, the stylus for my iPad, a USB to 30-pin cable, the AC adapter for my iPad, my point-and-shoot digital camera, and the charger for my MBA. It takes up about half the space of my backpack but still holds quite a bit. My backpack goes further as it has enough space to hold all of that plus an additional college textbook and paper notebook (or I can take out one of the books and carry my Big Jambox).

Anything not 17" i tend to carry in a messenger bag, the bouncing never really bothered me.

I have a bag made by Fūl that's designed for a 16" computer, but my 17" MBP fits in there just fine. The backpack seems fairly durable, but I've also only had it since July.
