OK I've decided to make the switch. I'm looking at the 2.4 15" MBP, and since I qualify it seems to be most cost effective to sign up for ADC. However, my girlfriend wants/"needs" a new iPod. Can you still use the iPod rebate on an ADC purchase. I'm under the impression that the MBP and the iPod must be purchased on the same ticket, and I didn't know if you could do that through ADC. If not I may just use the regular education discount if my math is correct.
Student ADC $100 + 20% off MBP $2000 + non rebate iPod $200 = $2300
Education MBP $2300 + rebate iPod $0 = $2300 and save the ADC for a possible later purchase.
Of course if you can use the rebate with ADC, that would be the way to go.

The best bet is to call apple. The customer service reps will help you to get the lowest price possible.

Free iPod won't fly with ADC even with an ADC student membership, but the free printer ($100 rebate USD) will. I called the ADC the other day just to confirm this.
ADC discount and iPod rebate?
