I'll be purchasing a MacBook soon and am wondering if a 2.13Ghz MacBook can run Adobe CS3 Design Premium? $350 is a great price and worth the investment if a MacBook can run it. I do plan to upgrade the ram to 2 Gb on my own and am only a casual user of Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver.

Yes, the MacBook is more than capable of running CS3.

Yeah, the Apple store in my city is the only place I've seen that you can walk in and buy a boxed copy of all of the CS3 suites and/or the separate programs.
-
Yep. I have the whole cs3 suite and it runs silky smooth, even on 1gb of ram. I have a c2d 2.0ghz processor. The only thing holding the macbook back is the screen resolution (imo), but if you connect it to an external monitor it will be fine.

sweet thanks for the fast replies : )

I find that the CS3 UI is pretty sluggish on OS X.
I use CS3 on both Windows and on OS X and the Windows UI kills it.
I'm a little disappointed, CS3 is why I got a MacBook Pro.
There's nothing wrong with my MBP, check the Adobe Forums, there are many threads complaining about this.
Mostly on knock on Adobe. The MacBook has a strong CPU and in general the CS3 apps are not that taxing on the GPU, ie like Motion or a 3d app would be. -
I have not seen any issues with performance running CS3 under OS X, the interface is identical on both systems, and I haven't noticed any sluggishness in either.
a Macbook will run CS3 Design apps very well, especially for a casual user. On identical Mac and PC systems, I don't believe that you would see much of a difference in performance on each.
