I'm curious if all my software will work with Leopard when I upgrade to it?

Not ALL software is going to work in Leopard. I'm sure most software will work, but some will require minor updates, and others will need more significant changes.

Yeah... There was an update to Firefox just yesterday I think that makes it compatible with Leopard.
-
My iLive 08 I bought should work just fine though right?
My big concerns are neo office, adium, skype, SMC fan controller, burn, and onyx.
Someone just said firefox works fine so that is good -
iLife '08 should be absolutely compatible, if I remember Steve Jobs said so at the keynote. Even if he didn't, its Apple software and they'll be sure that it will work in Leopard.
And those applications you listed are all very popular software for OS X, so I'm sure the developers will be quick in making a Leopard version available as soon as possible, even if it isn't already compatible. -
That is awesome to hear! Hopefully in a month or so I can buy Leopard then. sounds like all my concerns are already being taken care of.
-
Yee they should all work even if an update is reqiured.
Leoperd is not a major upgrade really. -
.
No offense meant, of course, but all up-to-date browsers have built-in spellcheckers, so use it. Its better for everyone to read. -
I reckon most popular programs such as Adium and Skype will definitely work. It's more so the smaller third party programs that might take a while.

My main concern is Adobe CS3. Adobe gave a warning that they were not sure if CS3 would work with Leopard. If it does not, they will, someday, at their leisure, issue a patch. Adobe is so freaking slack sometimes...
-
. CS3 is heavily used in the Mac world...how could they "someday issue" a patch for Leopard? That is basically holding millions of Mac users from switching to Leopard until they know for sure they can use CS3 on Leopard. They should release a patch as quick as possible.

Apple / Adobe relations have been frosty since the demise of OS9 and the rise of Final Cut Pro. -
I've heard that Apple has been secretly developing a Photoshop competitor, in case Adobe ever decides to drop its Mac version. The source isn't too reliable, but I wouldn't be surprised if Apple did have a Photoshop-like app under wraps. Photoshop is extremely important to the Mac and they can't risk it with a third-party developer.
Of course, I don't think Apple would roll it out unless Photoshop for Mac was discontinued. No sense putting it out now; Photoshop is fantastic as is. -
Adobe CS3 is not perfectly compatible. I read somewhere that Adobe doesn't have Leopard for testing. And Photoshop crashed several times with Leopard.Cannot understand what's on Steve's mind.
-
It's the way Adobe announces that it might not work.
What they do say:
CS3 may or may not work with Leopard. Who knows. If it does not work, I guess we'll issue a patch or something, I don't know. Whatever.
What they do not say:
We've been working hard to get CS3 ready for Leopard, we will give CS3 final testing when Leopard goes GM and if there are any issues, we will stay up late to fix the problem. CS3 on the Mac is very important to us.

I've been using Macs since I bought my first 7100/66. I sold my dual 2GHz G5 when Apple announced the switch to Intel, and I did not buy another Mac (my current MBP) until CS3 was released as a universal binary. -
PShop/Illustrator/Flash are requisite.
All Tiger software work with Leopard?
