I used to own an old white 2.2 Ghz Macbook and tried to use it with my 23 ACD a noticed that extensive 2D effects of Expose and Spaces tend force the integrated graphics to drop frames and become choppy. The choppiness is especially apparent when I use extended display mode and have lots of windows and items opened.

I'm contemplating in getting a new alu Macbook and hook it up to the same 23 incher (or perhaps get myself one of those fancy 24 LED ACDs :) ). To those who have a similar set up, how snappy or smooth does the new alu Macbook's 9400M GPU drive large 1920x1200 external monitors?

I used ACD 23" in the past year with NO issue. Just replaced it with a used 24" Flexscan S2410W, quite happy with it!

And this is with a 2ghz old macbook.

    cheers ...
