    Hey guys,

My macbook pro is running os x lion 10.7.2 and has an SSD hard drive. All my applications, documents, etc. spring load within 2-3 seconds once I select them, except for one specific program which i find is kind of odd.

Its safari thats causing this problem. For instance, when i boot my mac i initially open safari together with other apps such as mail and 2 fluid apps. As mentioned before every app apart form safari spring loads fast and safari alone takes around at least 30-50 seconds to load which i find is kind of weird. I have no problem when it comes to browsing or streaming online videos. Its just the issue with safari startup.

The interesting fact is that, after opening safari and then quitting it and then reopening it again, it simply spring loads. The same can be said say when i use the other apps first upon boot up and then click on safari say around 5-10 minutes later.

I do maintenance on my mac once a month using clean my mac and repairing disk permissions. BUt no error relating to safari ever comes up.

Please do not consider this as nitpicking. Its just that Im worried if something is wrong with safari on my mac.

The only safari extensions i have on my mac include - youtube5, 1password, adblock and google translate.

Hope someone can shed some light on this matter.

    Thanks in advance

Safari is as uninstallable as the native internet explorer in windows. I have a similar problem in safari that when I open up my tabs, the magic circle of death appears (processing..?), but when I force quit and relaunch the browsers, the same sites are snappy again until the same cycle repeats. Sometimes, refreshing the page gets rid of the circle. I have emptied cache / reset safari but still the problem persists. Come to think of it, I am not so sure that I should have upgraded to the Lion. Hopefully, these problems would go away with my ssd equipped Mac.
