    Hi,
Currently I have a macbook black and it is still have warranty available until July this year.
And I wonder should I consider buying Apple care for it?
The thing is I am not planning for 3 years and I think I will buy a mac for my graduation gift next year. After that, this machine will be sold.
    What do you guy think?
If I buy apple care, do you think 1 year after today, will you rate my item better no apple care?

Apple care follows the computer so if you sell it the person buying it will have Apple care, You will be able to sell it for more.

Sure that I can sell it for more, because I have to pay more for it :)
but the question is the difference worth it?

It would also make it easier to sell, so the people wont get a laptop that could die weeks after getting it and be screwed.

But if you don't want to spend the money, don't. It's up to you. It's obvious that you don't want to spend the money.

I agree with Seshan. When I sold my MBP, I found potential buyers telling me how great it was that I had Applecare as most of them just ignored ads for units without them. So it definitely will sell faster and also is simply significantly more likely to sell.

The other thing to consider is that you're also going to have this MB for a period of time without warranty (between July this year and next) so you're taking a big chance there. A lot of things can go wrong with notebooks doesn't matter how well you take care of them.

Definitely get it but make sure not to pay full price for it. Either get it on educational pricing (which should be available to you) or get it from eBay.

Applecare on notebooks is always a no brainer IMO.

AppleCare is the best investment I ever made. With the educational discount I think I payed 150ish? Since then I have had a screen replaced and a SuperDrive replaced. NTM, you can call AppleCare for any software problems. I think for notebooks it is a no-brainer.

I think its a good idea for the majority of users.
I personally don't have it as I feel confident enough to have a crack at most of the repairs myself.... that and I like to live on the edge.
Oh the thrills I take lol

Educational pricing is about 150? No wonder people on ebay can afford to sell at that price.

I was wrong about that. At least as far as the current cost. Currently it runs $239 with the educational discount. I am certain I did not pay that much, but that was nearly a year ago and Apple has been slashing educational discounts for some time.

Having said that, at $239, it isn't the greatest deal in the world. Notebooks are more apt to have problems, and repairs, especially through Apple can be pricey. Still seems steep.

I bought mine from ebay for $160 which is about half the cost from apple, I think that it is worth the investment.

+1 for eBay. Find a very good reputable seller, and go from there. It's going to be a whole lot cheaper from eBay than say BB, and it's the same product if you get a good seller. ;)
