I thought I was crazy at first, but know now that I'm not and thought I'd share this with you all here.
My MBP will charge to 100%, and then after a number of days will slowly discharge in percentage. All the while it's connected to the Power Supply. I realize that batteries have a self discharge rate, but if it's connected to a supply why won't it trickle charge to maintain 100%? It waits until it reaches 95% and then it charges to full.
Here's the answer why.. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=88344

Hmm, thanks for pointing that out. I've noticed that too, since just yesterday and even this morning the battery was reading 100%, but by the time I got home and used it again it now saids 99% even though it's been on AC the entire time. It's good to know it's supposed to do that.
Another thing I notice is that when I'm discharging the battery, the full charge battery capacity flucuates sometimes from the original 5500 to as low as under 5000mAh and if I were to just plug it back in, it would just charge to that level. So it appears as if the battery has undergone significant wear. But then, if I do smaller discharges like down to 90%, the maximum battery capacity increases again, like I'm resetting the sensor or something. Early yesterday it was reporting 5394mAh as the max capacity, but after a brief discharge and charge it's reporting 5519mAh as the max capacity. This is just probably error in the detection chip, but it's wierd that it fluctuates by as much as 10% in it's max capacity determinations.
