Any MBP with the 2.8 GHz CPU around?

I would like some tiny reviews on performance increase over the 2.53 CPU and especially how is the internal/external temperature with this 2.8 CPU.
Hopefully somebody already received theirs .. mine is not even ordered yet :D

Mine will be here Tuesday before 1030 a.m. CST. If not up by then, I'll find the temperature program and post them. I'm curious myself moving from pc based with a 7900GTX to see what the heat differential is. I am hoping the MAC temperature works like the PC one where I can get reading from all internal components...

yep, you'll be able to get the live temperature from quite a few sensors in the laptop.

Mine arrived this last friday. Can you tell me how to get the "sensors"? I am a new mac user so navigation for me is a bit difficult.

I dont have a 2.8GHz MBP but I just got my new aluminum Macbook last week and its my first personal notebook that is a Mac. I found a nice widget you can download called iStat ( http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/status/istatpro.html)

It shows temperatures at some locations, fairly detailed. Check it out.

    Nice find! Very useful app!
You guys might want to grab smcFanControl2 as well, I'm using it on my MBP and although it was designed for the older version, it works flawlessly on the new unibody design. I can set both fans, I find between 2500-3300 is virtually silent. Cools it significantly and the issue of having a higher processor, isn't an issue anymore with this :D

I use iStat myself, but if you google apps for mac/leopard you will find tons of free usefull stuff.

Tell us what are your temperature at idle and under some load. Thanks!!!

I would like to see the difference between 2.8GHz and 2.5GHz on the new MBP :)
