I know it's an oxymoron, but I really am looking for a gaming-quality mouse that is Mac-compatible -- and cordless, too! (Don't shoot!) Is there such a thing?
The only Logitech cordless models that work on a Mac are strictly non-performance (the VX, the cheaper ones). And while the MX is amazing, I don't think it'll game: it's a Cadillac, not a Corvette. All the G(x) models (for games) are Windows only.
If I have to go with a cord, do any Razers work on Macs? TIA

Most of those "gaming" mice should still work just fine on Macs; the only issue usually would be support for some of the additional buttons/functions....... I've used my Razr Copperhead on my Mac though and the mouse buttons and scrollwheel work just fine.
Is your concern gaming performance on the Mac side or the Windows side? Because if you just want a single mouse to use, it should still work fine on the Mac for most things and on Windows the Windows software would work just fine anyway. -
Yah, I forgot to say that gaming would be done in Windows, but I'd like to just switch over to Mac, too. So you're saying, for example, the G7 only mentions XP in its specs, but my MBP should handle it anyway?

i have MX1000 and every button works, the mouse move precisely as it does in windows. There's also logitech mouse software for mac.

Yeah, you should be just fine. Usually if they only mention XP support, for example, it's because the specific utility software/etc. (for extra programmability, etc.) might only be available on Windows....... but the core mouse functions, right and left mousebuttons, scrollwheel, etc. will work anyway (this is true on Windows too, of course.... even without the driver software the core mouse functions will work just fine).

The mouse should have all of its basic functionality in OS X. Also, not only is Mac and gaming mouse an oxymoron but so is wireless and gaming mouse. Wireless mice usually don't make the best gaming devices.

2 years ago that was true, not anymore. People say that mostly because they haven't tried a newer wireless mouse for games.
I have a logitech G7 and would not give it up for anything. -
Are you saying the G7 on a Mac though?
Any Mac gaming mice?
