Okay, so we all know that Windows XP thus far cannot be loaded on a MacBook Pro since:
1. the macbook uses EFI instead of BIOS, and
2. Windows XP does not support EFI.
However, do we know of anybody trying to load Windows Vista on on a macbook? (since supposedly Vista supports both EFI and BIOS) Everybody tends to only talk about XP, but I would like to find out about Vista.

Don't quote me on it yet, but I believe only the 64bit Version of Vista will support EFI, but your macbook sports a 32bit only processor so it can never run Vista 64.
I feel for you but I think for now you are out of luck.
If Apple would have put a Turion in the macbook pro, then you would have been able to install it.

Won't know till it gets here.

Actually... Microsoft official announced they will NOT support EFI boot in Vista.

Hmmm... That's interesting. Unfortunate, yet interesting.

Now that people have hacked XP to run on Macbook Pro, it looks like in the future it may be possible to run the 32 bit Vista as well...fingers crossed

i havent heared of a mbp getting hacked, only i mac.

somebody has done it to there macbook. i guess there are some driver issues, especially with the video card.

its official and it actually works. the 13 grand prize has been won. all they did was make an efi boot loader for the mac mini. ( http://onmac.net/) is the site of the step by step process on how to do it.

Yup but still tons of things dont work, one being the webcamera
-
yeah, but the major breakthrough has been made. patch drivers will take about a month to be out on the web
