Ok so I've been using my new macbook (one with backlit keyboard) and I must say this is garbage. It feels like the keys are going to fall off. I'm comparing it with the original macbook which I have.

Am I the only one who got this crappy keyboard? Is this a known 'issue'? Or is it just standard to have garbage keyboard on the new macbooks?

I can't stand having key's that feel like they're going to fall off every time i hit them. and whats really really really getting on my nerves and irritating me is that stupid H key which half of it is falling almost under the surface cover.

Another thing irritating me is the feeling when i put my fingers slightly on the keys and just move my fingers, feels like the keys are about to come off.

No. I'm NOT comparing it with viaos or dells or whatever. I am comparing the new silver macbook laptop (one with backlit keyboard) with the previous model of macbook (the white macbook).

I'm not ranting. I'm asking if this is a common thing with the new macbooks or if I have a defective one. I don't understand why would they go with crappy keyboard if the first one was perfect.

Haven't seen this kind of complaint about the new keyboards yet - perhaps yours is off or whatever. I have not issues with mine either, although it did take some getting used to after my Asus.

Perhaps taking it in to the nearest Apple Store is your next step?

Yeah will do that. I'm just afraid they'll ask me to keep it with them. I don't want them to keep it.

No issues here either, although the keys feel less solid than the previous gen's ones

I went from a Black MacBook to the new Unibody MacBook and can't say I notice any difference in the keyboard at all.

I dont have any issues with my keyboard either. I actually liked this keyboard and its style the first time I saw it on the Macbook Air so I'm happy that its now on the other notebooks too.

I have always liked the older Macbook Pro keyboards in relation to the Macbook's or new Macbook Pro one (with the spaced out keys). This is the only thing stopping me from ordering a new MBP today!

Can some other owners of the new MBPs let us know their experiences with the keyboard?

The older MBP had a mushy keyboard to me. The new ones look like the Sony chiclet keyboards. Those were rattly and flimsy. Are the new MB/MBP keyboards like the Sony?
