Does anyone know who is manufacturing the NAND flash chips for apple? Do they have different manufactures for the Iphone, ipod? Who are they planning on using for the new flash HD laptops? Any info on this subject would be great. Thanks in advance.

Apple has a lot of NAND flash manufacturers...they consume 25% of the entire flash memory market . There's been no indication so far that Apple's releasing a flash-based notebook anytime soon...they have other things to update before releasing such a product. Plus, the price would be ridiculous anyways (as if we need anything more to fuel the "Macs are more expensive" debate ).

Apple's main NAND flash suppliers are Hynix Semiconductors and Samsung Electronics, according to AppleInsider.
