    Looks like apple going to charge devices from solar.Maybe next gen iPhone & Macbook come out with these panels ?

    How awesome would that be... just having the screen turned on recharges the battery. I wonder what efficiency they would be able to achieve...15-20% maybe?

    doesn't citizen has very similar technology already implemented on its "eco-drive" watches?

    for notebooks and phones; it will further add weights to the product.

    now; if they want to put that kind of technology; the best solution would be adding a thermal capture device that converts heat to electricity; it may also double as insulating medium to reduce heat at the bottom of -say- the macbook... again; this method has been used sucessfully on watches such as the "seiko thermic"

    for phone it might be a good idea to add some kind of osicillating weight, like that found on mechanical watches... maybe seiko kinetic is a better example; since its stores it power through a li-ion battery... though weight might pose something of an issue....

    Interesting idea. I care little about the green technology unless it's actually usable and efficient.

    If they can do that, then so much the better.
