Appleinsider is speculating that we could see this. I love updates
http://www.appleinsider.com/article...acbook_pro_overhaul_back_to_school_promo.html
Apple Inc. is believed to be on the verge of introducing a new line of MacBook Pro notebooks and an educational promo that will furnish students with a free iPod nano when they purchase of a qualifying Mac system.

-
* 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
* 1440 x 900 resolution
* 2GB memory
* 120GB hard drive1
* 8x double-layer SuperDrive
* NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics with 128MB SDRAM -
Asus G1s, here i come !
-
Im no Apple expert but it looks like the MBP now has Nvidia 8600M and slightly faster CPU is there any other change?
-
so much talking about LED etc, no LED no leopard no design change, at least they give more ram, better grapphics and a option for 1920X screen on 17"
-
2GB memory as baseline standard seems to be new.
Also: the refurbished store was also updated and all the prices remain the same. I'm really hoping for the older generation MBP's (older generation by a few minutes) to be cheaper. Maybe I'll wait out a couple of weeks and see if the prices will go down. :] -
hoolyproductions Notebook Evangelist
up to 4gb as RAM I noticed... still glad I bought a few weeks ago this is very minor update :O)
-
I thought we might see 14.1 or 13.3" MBP...
-
It actually is a LED in 15.4!! just not listed but in main page it is said it is led backlit!!!! yey!!!
-
And in Europe the base model is now 100€ cheaper.
-
Looks like a pretty decent update to me. Yes it does have LED.
Santa Rosa
2.2 or 2.4ghz CPU
15" LED
160gb 7200 rpm option.
I'm going to buy one. -
there seems to be an option for a 1920x1200 res at last. Good updates.
-
yeah this update is pretty stellar, I suppose. 1920x1200 seems so high for a 17"!
LED is a nice feature, as is santa rosa. we were kinda expecting that, though -
I suggest if you're a student you buy now. Free 4gb nano (200 dollar value), and you get a 200 dollar discount as it is. You are not required to get the nano, but it's still a great deal overall. The deal lasts until September 16th on the buy a mac get a nano deal. I am thinking this is a great time to get a Macbook Pro!
