    Apple task manager

    Hey, new to mac osX....in windows i can open up a task/system manager by using control+Alt+Delete....how may i open up the same type of thing in osX

    If the purpose is to kill any open applications, you can choose "Force Quit" from the Apple menu, and it will show y ou all the running apps and you can force quit them.

    If you want to get unixy, you can open up a terminal and use ps to list processes, and then kill the process id, but that would be a bit much.

    It's called Activity Monitor in OS X. I am not sure what the shortcut is for it but it will be in your applications folder under utilities

    What's that apple option space then?

    Someone was talking about that and quitting some program... Could be apple control space or w/e.. I don't know, should say on the apple site shouldn't it?

    command+option+esc ------> give you the window for "force quit" option.

    yer if you search in spotlight for activity manager you will find it. then if you want to use it as often as I do then while it is running ctrl click on the icon in the dock and select "keep in dock"...

    is one way of doing it...

    Hmm, sounds like someone using Quicksilver to me. A must have application.
