    Hey guys,

I just carried out a software update for my mac running os x lion 10.7.2 and installed the flashback removal tool. AFter download it said that the file was successfully installed.

My question is, how do i access it? I mean its not on the applications folder and tried searching through spotlight to no avail.

Can someone please clarify this for me?

    thanks in advance

As far as I know it was just an update to Java that would stop Flashback if it was installed on your system automatically. It wasn't a dedicated program that you could run that would hunt it down and remote it. The update was a patch to stop the exploit from running.

No, that update was a few days ago. There was an update yesterday that automatically removed the virus / malware for most of the variants. It did this automatically afaik.

Right except that when I downloaded the update (yesterday), it didn't show it as an OS X update but rather an update for Java.
