Hey Guys looking at both the MBP and MBA.

I live in NY and am on the Border of a Connecticut store. If I buy from below I will be hit with over $100 in Tax but in the store I can pay cash and actually save money. Anyways If I purchase the MBP or MBA in the apple store can I still buy the protection from B&H Below?

you can add Applecare anytime to your Mac during the first year while its still under warranty... thought to get all the benefits of the phone support, you'd have to buy it right away. So yes, you can buy the Applecare elsewhere and add it to your machine. Just make sure your getting the full Applecare boxed product, and not just a code for it and no actual product packaging from Apple.

And specifically, B&H is an authorized Apple reseller so you will be fine purchasing it from there.

you can buy on amazon.com and get free shipping, no tax, and probably lower base prices than in the store.

of course. just buy the version that corresponds to your notebook size. make sure it doesn't say "old version" - it should be labelled "newest version". also make sure the listing says "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com."

You absolutely won't run into any issues if you verify these 3 things.

Thanks for the reply guys. I think I will be spend some time seeing the different models in the apple store and then purchase online.

As far as not paying Tax on Amazon what state are you in because NY charges tax for everything! No Tax would be a very nice thing..........
