Hi,
I'm graduating from my school and I'm going to use my student discount to buy a 17" macbook pro before I leave the US. Do you guys know if Applecare will cover my macbook pro in Thailand? I know there is Apple center in Thailand but I'm not sure about apple care policy.
Thanks for your input.

Yes, Applecare is world wide: http://store.apple.com/1-800-780-50...12dAXmyk/10.PSLID?mco=E6012FC0&nplm=M8853LL/B
Definitely, a good investment given the $ you'll be spending on a 2.5K machine. -
Thailand should be no problem. Applecare is valid there.
And the APP is "worldwide" in a sense, but it isn't valid in all countries. Only countries where there is an actual Apple presence. Which is a lot of places, don't get me wrong, I am definitely not dissing the APP - I will get one myself
Thailand is one of the valid countries anyway.

Thanks guys! I will go ahead and order it tomorrow with free ipod and printer
. Also, I'll definitely post my feedback about it. This will be my new Mac since G4 733; I'm so excited!!

Yeah only the notebooks are "worldwide" the desktops aren't.

No, that's not what I meant. I meant that it isn't sold (and thus valid) in ALL countries, only those with an Apple presence. Which is still a lot
Besides, the notebook/desktop distinction was removed. They are all worldwide now. -
No it's still there, I just got mine this past monday, and the warranty I got with it still states it, as well as Apples website, only notebooks have worldwide support, Desktops are restricted to the US and Canada.
Since the thread starter is getting a notebook, he's totally fine. -
It's only if you have an APP, sorry for being unclear. Desktops are not "worldwide" under the one-year warranty.
