Availability of 2.53ghz model

So over the weekend and the past few days I have had trouble finding a 13" MBP 2.53ghz model. I have called to check everyday since last Friday and every new shipment the Apple Store gets does not include the high-end 13" model. I have called all Apple Stores (3 stores) within my area and they all have received no stock of this model.

I also checked the online store and all 13" and 15" models with the 2.53ghz processor has a 5-7 day ship period. All other model shows "will ship within 24 hours." Makes me wonder if there are production problems. How were the stock levels at your apple store since your last visit?

I know for a fact eBay has plenty factory sealed units.

It's an extremely popular model. There are no production problems. Think about it, you want one right? The price is good, the feature set is awesome. Makes sense that they are currently sold out. Here's a trick. It's only the stock configs that are out of stock. If you CTO it will become 1-3 business days. If you upgrade the hard drive for $50.00 you can it get it fast.
