But i dont want to do that every time. thanks for any help.

When you created the Windows partition, it defaults to boot into that partition. Turn your Mac off, and when you restart, hold the Option key, then select the Macintosh HD when the two disc's show up, and you'll boot into Mac OS X. Then you can delete the Windows partition.

go to system preferences and find something called "startup disk" preferences. you can select which system you want to boot. in this case; select your mac os x install.

hope this solve your problem... :)

otherwise... maybe go to disk utility and manage the partition? or if not... clean install maybe in order...

When you boot into Mac OSX, goto system preferences --> Startup Disk and select Mac OSX to make it default OS.

When you say, you deleted the windows partition, did you goto disk utility to format it back to Mac?

    JUST BEATEN to the post!!!

There are two ways to fix your problem:

    1. When you boot into Mac OSX, go to system preferences and find the Startup Disk section. In that preference page you can choose Mac OSX to be the default startup.

    2. Use the Boot Camp assistant to remove the Windows partition and restore your machine to being a single boot machine. This is a better option, as it reclaims the used space by the Boot Camp partition.

    Hope one of those help.

Edit: Hehe, sorry Pripan77, you beat me to it.

Windows is becoming less and less a favorite of mine the longer I spend on the MBPRO!

I had the same problem when I installed Windows. The problem was caused becuase I chose to use the partition that Boot Camp made without formatting it at the beginning of the Windows installation.
