After many years of no apple computers I am happily a apple-ite again :D

    Last mac I owned was an eMac with a blazing g4 @ 800mhz :p

Been PC crying at how I could not afford another mac, until today. Dad ordered one of the new Macbooks, white model not the aluminum and didn't like the small screen.

So he replaced it with a MBP from the 8600m GT generation and loves it. Took my opportunity before he sent back the MB and it's mine but I gotta pay over time, which thankfully I can do!

So whats first? Got all my updates, trying to remember all my favorite programs if they still exist like konfabulator and such

Anyways I am one of you again, woohoo!

Congratulations! You will definitely like the switch back! :D Also about the programs; you will most likely have them, but if not there are a ton of equivalents out there. Welcome back to the Mac family!

    Thnx! All better now!

Ok so must have programs? I'm a little out of date, is versiontracker still a good place to cruise the programs?

Also i'd like a cool background, preferrably dragons and stuff but anything you find appealing i'm game :)

Edit: Colton beat me to it :p

I have some pretty neat backgrounds, like centered around Apple and some really beautiful nature backgrounds that will reduce down to 1280x800. I'll email them to you if you'd like. As for Versiontracker, I go there alot to get programs, so it's great for me.

congratulations and good luck with your mac. you'll quickly notice how its created to "just be used" without having to install additional programs such as antivirus, cd-dvd burner etc
