So with school starting again soon and me not living on campus this year I will have to have my laptop last longer on campus then before. So I've been thinking of getting a new better for it, but I was wondering if it would make a difference.

At the moment i have a PowerBook G4 15' Aluminum edition, it gets about 1 1/2 to 2 hours on power saving mode sometimes way less depending if it stays on during the whole class. I was wondering if this was normal or if a new battery would give me longer life? Anyway thanks.

a newer battery could give you a bit longer life, but nothing earth shattering. If you are needing a lot of power to last all day because you can't plug it in during classes, then maybe look at an external battery pack you can carry around in your laptop bag, there are some really big ones out there you can get a full days of usage out of... its not too weird to have your power plug from your laptop plugged down into your bag :)

lol, I hope the teachers don't mind me bringing a generator to class "hold on teach I gotta start this thing *starts pulling the handle as if to start a lawn mower* sorry just a couple more pulls..." lol

What about sitting near a wall outlet and running your power cord, rather than your generator?
