I'm quite excited if its not noticeable haha, but I had a few questions before I plan to buy. Also I want to include that my day to day activities include, browsing many internet windows, word documents, always have itunes open, the occasional PS/video software.

The current setup I'm gonna go with is the 2.4ghz MacBook, with 2GB which I do plan to upgrade to 4GB. I also plan on getting a 24" cinema display to hook up to the MacBook when I'm home. Here are my questions.

What cables will I need to buy to connect my MB to my Cinema?

I would also like to connect my desktop PC to my cinema, is this possible? Is it possible to have both connected at the same time, so when ones not on the other takes over? If this is not possible can I buy anything like a HUB to accomplish this?

Will the MB take a big hit in performance bumping up the screen size? Given my activities.

If its the LED 24" and the Unibody Macbook you don't need any cables.
It connects through a mini displayport on your macbook (and the screen will also charge your macbook too)
I have a MacBook Pro Unibody and a 24" LED Cinema display and i have yet to open ANYTHING underneath the mac from the box.

No not at the moment can you connect your "future" Display to a PC

And lastly, No for what your doing its not noticable.

So it comes with a MiniDisplay port cord to connect between the MB and Display. Sorry I have never owned a Mac, this shall be my first.

the new LED backlit Apple monitor only connects to Mini-DP .. you can currently only use it on Macs with Mini-DP connectors such as the macbook... it cannot hook up VGA or DVI or full size DP

your laptop can hook up to VGA, or DVI though, you'd have to buy the adapters Apple sells for those....
