Hi!
With much excitement, I recently ordered my first Mac, the unibody Macbook Pro, 2.4ghz, 4GB RAM, 320GB @ 7200RPM.
Now, I'm getting a whole bunch of accessories for it. Router and mouse I'm already set on - the D-Link DIR-825 and the Logitech V550.
The only dilemma I am facing is what carrying bag/case to get for it. I'd like a case that provides good protection for the laptop. It'd be really nice if it didn't scream I-Have-A-$2300-Laptop-On-Me, but that's a secondary consideration. It should also be able to carry a mouse and charger along with the laptop itself.
Thanks!
(And any other first time Mac user tips are welcome, but please answer the case question!)

I don't use a laptop back pack.
I got the 15" incase neoprene sleeve (very good quality). I just throw the MBP that, and then into my regular backpack and nobody knows I have a laptop in there. -
I use a Speck hard case for it however I recently got a sleeve as well. The problem with the Speck case is that stuff can get in between the casing and the notebook and therefore causing small scratches. My backpack is not the cleanest place in the world so a sleeve helps keep the dirt out.

For maximum protection a hard case like Pelican. These are completely water proof. But not cheap. When you pack it you want it tight as possiable to prevent movement. But these are not cheap cases. I use a old leather Targus case that I have had for 20+ years. But I'm extremely careful and it does not leave the house very often.

I am looking at one of those, in a large north face backpack I already own, if you already have a backpack you like, those have a minimum of 1" of padding all around and will protect the device better than most backpacks. -

Check out Waterfield bags, I bought a sleeve from them to put in my backpack. The sleeves they make are amazing. Don't buy a laptop bag, that screams, "Steal me!"

incase is good, their sleeves, messenger bags, and backpacks, and they look decent too, nice and simple.
I use a Chrome Shuttle for my 17" MBP, Chrome and Timbuk2 are excellent companies, but they are a little more expensive.
