Personally, I'm eyeing the Booq Taipan bag. I'm pretty sure you'd want something sturdier though if you're going to take it with you every day.

Though there is that other black suede bag. Let me find the link.

Look for a Targus Backpack. They are very firm and sturdy. Going to Best Buy to pick one up as we speak.

The snap-on shells make your notebook quite thicker than what it already is and takes away from the astetics of the aluminum MB. If you put a snap-on shell on a MBA, then it would make it more like an Alu MB in terms of thickness.

In my opinion, the hard cover will just ruin the aesthetic of the aluminum macbook as I am one of those who prefer aluminum over plastic macbook. As for case, I simply bought the incase neoprene sleeve.

I have a hard shell for my mbp, and its saved my mac many many times. If you look at how many scratches and scuffs it has on it, I'm happy its on it and not on my mac. I try to be careful, but stuff happens, so yea hardcases are what i recomend.

[edit] looks like they're out for the new macs as well, and it looks like speck just ripped off incases hardcase design from the previous gen. Though I guess thats a good thing, because theirs looked horrible.[/edit]

Invisible Shields are the best protection you can get without adding bulk to your machine.

Invisible Shields are invisible to the eye and do not make the macbook or macbook pros lose their beauty.

Why would you cover the sexy aluminum of the new MacBooks by putting a skin or a snap on cover on it. Snap on covers will also make the laptop run hotter because it prevents heat from being dissipated. through the case. I wouldn't even buy a sleeve if I had one of the new Macbooks since nothing I carry is ever hard enough to scratch the aluminum anyways.

Personally, I wouldn't use a snap cover, but Invisible Shields are crystal clear and look great! I've got one on my MB Air and just waiting for the one I ordered for my new Unibody MacBook.

I'd say, wait for a hard case. Those invisible shields will do nothing to protect it from possible dents and chipping. I've officially tarnished my MBP a couple days ago by accidentally banging my MBP against the edge of a glass table while taking it out of my bag. A small dent/chip on the edge of my LCD cover near the MAGsafe, very noticeable if you run your fingers against it and it's really been bugging me as i've been babying the unit. So take care of your aluminum Macbook until either Speck or Incase releases a hard cover. Aluminum is a relatively soft metal. Hard surfaces like glass and steel is denser than aluminum, so handle it with care when your near any of those materials and try not to do what I did.

I'll be sure to buy a hard case, anyone know how much a new Aluminum LCD cover costs or where to get one to repair my MBP? :(

    Second that

and as someone said, it is protecting your investment, if you ever consider selling your MB, nobody will want a chipped/scratch laptop.

Speck already has a hard cover for the new Macbook. Incase doesn't. I'm waiting for Incase to make theirs because it just looks way better at least based on the old ones. What's holding them up!?

I don't think it's available yet from Speck, although coming soon. The image of the product also looks like a really poor photochop (I work in the business and that image is just the stock Apple image with a Color overlay). Which makes me think that it'll be some time to actually see the product for sale.

Because sleeves won't prevent scratching or dents during actual usage outside of the sleeve.

In all honesty, AWs are the ugliest things i've seen in my life. They look cool and etc, but i would never show them in public. :(

I had a clock fall on my MBP, and it produced a small dent on the side. It's only noticeable if you look for it.

Honestly, don't worry about it. It isn't worth a new top cover. Just think of it as a beauty mark. It's what makes your MBP unique. :p

LOL, tell me about it. Just as I turned around after hanging a clock on the wall, I heard a loud crack come from my notebook.
